Richard David Shlansky-Goldberg, MD, is a Professor of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a Staff Angiographer in the Department of Radiology. He is a member of several specialized centers including the Penn Center for Integrated Fibroid Care (CIFC), the Center for Total Pancreatectomy and Islet Cell Autotransplant, and the Pancreatitis Center of Excellence. Dr. Shlansky-Goldberg's clinical expertise focuses on treating women with symptomatic fibroids through uterine artery embolization, a minimally invasive procedure that facilitates faster recovery and has a high success rate. He has contributed to the development of this program at the University of Pennsylvania in collaboration with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and also uses embolization to treat conditions such as adenomyosis, varicocele in men, and pelvic congestion syndrome in women. His research includes numerous publications in the field of interventional radiology, with a focus on vascular and minimally invasive procedures.

• Percutaneous neo-anastomosis creation of two excluded accessory bile ducts to Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunostomy after choledochocele resection

  Post-operative biloma is often associated with partial hepatectomy and Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunostomy. Here, we presented a case where a young patient who suffered from post-operative biloma after choledochal cyst resection. He underwent step-wise drainage and internalization procedures, which involved complex percutaneous biliary neo-anastomosis creation, which ultimately resulted in tube removal.
