About

Philip Corlett is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Yale University. He earned his Ph.D. in 2006 from the University of Cambridge, where he trained in Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, and Psychiatry under Professors Trevor Robbins and Paul Fletcher. His doctoral research focused on the brain bases of delusion formation, conducted within the Brain Mapping Unit in the Department of Psychiatry. Following a short postdoctoral period, he was awarded the University of Cambridge Parke-Davis Exchange Fellowship in Biomedical Sciences, which facilitated his move to Yale University to explore the maintenance of delusions alongside Professors Jane Taylor and John Krystal. Since joining Yale faculty in 2011, Dr. Corlett has continued to investigate the cognitive and biological mechanisms underlying delusional beliefs, as well as related areas such as predictive learning, habit formation, and addiction. His research aims to deepen understanding of these mental processes, contributing to the broader field of clinical psychology and neuroscience.
