Harry Charles Katz is the Jack Sheinkman Professor of Collective Bargaining at the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley and has been a faculty member at Cornell since 1985, after teaching at MIT. His research focuses on industrial relations, collective bargaining, labor movements, employment practices, and the transformation of work and industrial relations systems in the United States. Katz has contributed extensively to the understanding of labor-management relations, labor law, and the evolution of employment systems through his numerous publications, book chapters, and research reports.
