articleOpen accessAbstract In the state of Rajasthan, specifically in Mewar, the folklores express their moral, spiritual, emotional and physical sensitivities, and such trend of their folklore’ character has inspired the world with its essence; such factual experience has to be examined through the study of popular folk songs. In the Mewar region of Rajasthan, folklores if categorised, then there will be significant segmented units which illustrate the folks’ lifestyle, cultural rituals/rites, social customs and religious traditions. The folklores concerning ‘Veer Rasa’ represent formidable political foreground, refusal to comply and the ‘Will to Power’ environment. The criteria of the prevalence of the particular, popular folklore of the times seem to be couched with the knowledge about the subject to power and a potential for self-image as superior with unconscious positivity and rationality. Out of this vast arena of Mewar folklores, attempt will be made to explore the warriors’ valour and gallantry; patriotism and nationalism, besides their birth being symbolically referred to sacrifice and martyrdom.

article1st authorCorrespondingAbstract This article examines two feature-length documentary films that depict tribal displacement and Adivasi migration in northeast India. Where is My Home (2021) follows internally displaced Bru in settlements across Tripura where they came following ethnic clashes in their native state, Mizoram, in 1997. Kora Rajee ( Land of the Diggers , 2006) follows Adivasis from Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh who, since colonial times, have migrated to work in tea gardens in Assam. The discussion highlights shared emphases in these films: firstly, their endeavor to represent Indigenous histories of migration from an Indigenous standpoint; and, secondly, how migration has shaped the cultural life of the communities. The article asserts that, as both films emphasize community voices and perspectives, they reverse the gaze towards Indigenous peoples, albeit through different documentary approaches. Thus, these films disturb and unsettle dominant perceptions about tribal peoples and Adivasis, offering a nuanced understanding of socio-cultural life in postcolonial northeast India.

book-chapterSenior authorAbstract This chapter examines the representation of tribal dances in documentary films by the Adivasi media collective, Akhra Ranchi, which is based in Jharkhand, India. Akhra Ranchi promotes media production among tribal people so that they may tell their own stories, as they understand them. Akhra Ranchi’s documentaries focus on two areas: one, the political issues facing tribal peoples; and two, tribal cultural practices based on Indigenous knowledge systems. This chapter is built from an interview with Biju Toppo of Akhra Ranchi, conducted and translated from Hindi by Aparna Sharma. In the interview, Toppo discusses how the Akhra Ranchi media collective came into being and how it approaches the documentation of dance and music through films. Toppo explains the place of dance in tribal cultures; key principles and meanings of tribal dances, such as dancing as a collective and in formations like a circle; and, the contemporary challenges that tribal cultures face, such as migration to urban areas. The discussion in this chapter brings out how media documentation promotes awareness of tribal issues and cultural practices.

Jayanta Mahapatra’s poetic world surrounds the vivid images of women as wives, whores, adolescent girls, rural women, and metropolitan women which echoes the plight of women to a great extent. Mahapatra has tragically explored the pains and tribulations of women, especially in a male-dominated society. Imbibing his obsessions towards loss, suffering, quest for self, grief, death, and sexuality, he introduces various facets of women in the chaotic world. The portrayal of women in the poetry of Jayanta Mahapatra explores an alienated world with an over-mounted confession. He expresses the harsh realities and struggles of women in establishing their own identity. His poetry deals with some prominent themes such as hunger, sexual assault, and starvation which lead women to live miserable lives. By depicting the world of women, Mahapatra’s reverence and hospitality towards women are quite mesmerizing and he considers them as an epitome of love and sacrifice.

Web traffic is a vital metric for online businesses and organizations. This research paper proposes a web traffic analytical application that helps website owners monitor and analyze their website traffic. This data can be used to identify areas of the website that need improvement and to create targeted marketing campaigns. We examine the different types of data that can be collected, such as page views, unique visitors, time spent on the page and login counts and discuss the various methods used to analyze this data, including data visualization, predictive modeling, statistical analysis techniques and machine learning to provide real-time analytics on web traffic. The paper discusses the different types of data collected by these applications, the tools and technologies used for data collection, and the methods used for data analysis. The paper also discusses the challenges and limitations associated with web traffic analytical applications and the future directions of research in this area. The effectiveness of the application was evaluated through a case study, where it was used to analyze the traffic of an e-commerce website. The results showed that the application was able to provide valuable insights into user behavior and website performance, which can be used to improve the overall user experience and increase website engagement. The application will enable website owners and marketers to optimize their online presence and improve their digital marketing efforts. Keywords: web traffic, analytical application, data collection, data analysis, data visualization, predictive modeling, machine learning, digital marketing.

International Journal of Science and Research (IJSR) · 2021-03-27
articleOpen access1st authorCorrespondingFrancois Gautier is a renowned French journalist and writer. He has been a political correspondent in South Asia for ten years for France’s largest daily ‘Le Figaro’. He was deeply influenced by the writings of Sri Aurobindo, an Indian philosopher, Yogi and Nationalist, which sparked an interest in him to know and learn everything about Indian history and culture. He wrote many books about India such as A History of India As It Happened Not As It Has Been Written, Arise Again O India, In Defence of a Billion Hindus, A New History of India etc. which show how systematically and deliberately Indian history and culture were manipulated, Mis-understood and downgraded by Europeans for their own selfish motives. He brings into light many great principles and ideologies which are the foundation of Indian culture and talks about the many myths related to them. His works reflect a crucial need to rewrite Indian History as per the latest linguistics and archaeological findings and discoveries so that the world can know who the Indians are and what great culture they belong to.
