June Grasso is an Associate Professor in the Social Sciences at Boston University College of General Studies. She holds a B.A. from Wellesley College, and both an M.A. and Ph.D. from Tufts University, with her doctoral research focused on Modern Chinese History. Her recent publications include a book titled "Japan’s ‘New Deal’ for China: Propaganda Aimed at Americans before Pearl Harbor" published by Routledge in 2019, and she is a co-author of the forthcoming sixth edition of "Modernization and Revolution in China". In addition to her research, June Grasso has been recognized for her excellence in teaching, receiving the Peyton Richter Award for Outstanding Interdisciplinary Teaching in 2021. Her professional activities and contributions emphasize her engagement with interdisciplinary education and research in modern Chinese history.
